JOHN HUGHES is an experienced Production Professional from Massachusetts, who has worked for WarnerMedia, The Walt Disney Company, and ShowTime. John began working in the Film Industry while he was still in college, notably as an Intern on a Disney Feature.
John attended Fitchburg State University where he received a Bachelor's of Science in Communications Media: with Concentrations Film/Video Production and Technical Theatre and a Minor in Theatre. While in college, John focused his studies on Producing and Production Design, and Scenic Design & Carpentry for Theatre.
John got his start in the Entertainment Industry as a Production Assistant on Feature-length Movies, Television shows, and New Media in Boston Massachusetts, John has worked in the Construction, Set Decorating, Props, the Production Office, Locations, On-Set, and the Health and Safety Departments.
John is currently a IATSE Local 481Member; His Primary Craft is Construction, and he looks to add a secondary craft in Set Dressing in the near future. He also works on non-union Theatrical Productions, with experience as an Overhire Electrician.
As an artist, John enjoys the collaborative process above all else. He believes that Art in any media is meant to be shared, as is the experience creating it; John thoroughly enjoys working with other artists and craft-people who share his passion for creation.
